Movie Review: Wonder Woman 1984

As superhero sequels go, Wonder Woman 1984 is pretty epic, but it’s not without its flaws. Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) lives quietly among mortals in the vibrant, sleek 1980s ‑‑ an era of excess driven by the pursuit of having it all. Though she's come into her full powers, she maintains a low profile by curating ancient artifacts and only performing heroic acts incognito. But soon, Diana will have to muster all of her strength, wisdom, and courage as she finds herself squaring off against Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) and the Cheetah (Kristen Wigg), a villainess who possesses superhuman strength and agility. Now, I’m not the only one who has been waiting for this movie. I loved the first Wonder Woman film, not just because Gal Gadot was breathtaking in the title role but by its brilliant execution (which the DCEU was clearly lacking) and that was enough to get me excited for the sequel. And now that I’ve finally gotten to watch it, thanks to HBO Max, I’m so happy. With a runtime of

Disney Announces Updated Release Calendar

As the world continues its battle with the current COVID-19 pandemic, causing movie theaters around the world to close and productions to shut down, Disney had no choice but to make some tough decisions regarding its upcoming film release schedule. Those delicious caused a massive shuffle in the upcoming release schedule for one of the biggest film companies in the world. Disney moved the majority of its summer lineup, including films from Marvel and 20th Century Studios. The whole MCU films from now till 2022 have all been pushed back, Jungle Cruise is now coming out next summer, and Artemis Fowl is skipping theaters altogether and heading straight to Disney+.

Pretty much everything Disney had planned has since changed, so they have now released a brand new, updated release calendar. As of right now, Disney has all of its dates from the rest of the year and all the way till 2023, with a least a dozen projects being released each year. They currently don’t have a full release schedule for 2024-2027, but each of them has locked in dates in December with either Avatar or Star Wars ready to go.

Overall, Disney has lots of projects for us to look forward to for the next few years. Keep in mind that Disney owns Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and now 20th Centuries, which all studios have projects coming soon. And let’s not forget the live-action and animated movies made by Disney themselves.
